Campfire Simulator

Privacy policy

For the game Campfire Simulator, made by JunkDrawerDev. Effective 9 October 2026.

Campfire Simulator is a VR game for Meta Quest, for players aged 10 and up. It has no ads, analytics, tracking, chat, online play or in-game purchases, and doesn't use the microphone or camera. This page lists everything the game collects or uses about you, what it's used for, how long it's kept, and how to ask for it to be deleted.

What the game collects and how it's used

Your Meta user ID

The ID of the Meta account you're signed in with. When the game starts, it uses two of Meta's platform features for that account, and Meta identifies the account by this ID. It's used only for those two things: to confirm with Meta that your account owns the game, and to get your account's age group (below). The game doesn't save your user ID, and it's never sent to us or to anyone other than Meta.

Your Meta account's age group

One of: 10 to 12, 13 to 17, 18 and over, or unknown. Meta asks games for all ages to check this each time they start. The game gets only the age group: not your name, birthday or exact age. It's used only to follow Meta's rules for younger players. Nothing in the game is age-restricted (there's nothing to buy, no one to talk to and no links out of the game), so everyone gets the same game. The age group stays in the headset's memory while the game is running and is forgotten when it closes. It's never saved, never sent to us or anyone else, and never used for ads or profiling. The camp menu's Credits page shows what was checked.

Your head and hand movements

From the headset and controllers, to show you the world and let you pick things up. Used only on the headset while you play, and never saved or sent.

Your settings

Saved on your headset: your menu settings (such as the difficulty, volume, frame rate, and whether rain or music are on), your button choices, and whether you've seen the controls. None of this identifies you, and it never leaves the headset.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Who it's shared with

No one. We don't sell, rent or share information about you, and the game doesn't send anything to us. Your headset, your Meta account and the Meta Horizon Store are run by Meta and covered by Meta's own privacy policy.

How long it's kept

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your data at any time, free. Email support@junkdrawerdev.com with the subject "Delete my data". We'll delete anything we hold about you, including your emails to us, and reply to confirm within 30 days.

You can also delete what the game saved yourself, straight away: uninstall Campfire Simulator from your headset and its settings are deleted with it. Your Meta account's own data, including your user ID and age, is held by Meta, and you can manage or delete it in your Meta account settings.

Children

We don't collect personal information from children beyond what's listed above, and we never sell or share it. Parents and guardians can email us at support@junkdrawerdev.com with any question, or to ask us to delete their child's data.

This website

Like any website, our web host may briefly keep standard logs of visits, such as the IP address and time. We don't use them to identify or track anyone.
